LOOK BACK: John Tesh Interviews Sugar Ray Leonard

Sugar Ray Leonard is more than one of the world's most winningest boxers and Gold Medal Olympian, he's also an outstanding motivational speaker and a very classy man. I mean, he's a legend. He's definitely conquered some mountains.

Check out this awesome flashback interview of John Tesh with Sugar Ray Leonard from 1992. It's worth watching the entire clip. Treat yourself!

At the time of this interview, was John Tesh doing his music yet?

Mountain Music: Chairlift's Retro Dance Video

The American Electronic Pop Duo Group, Chairlift, has a cool band name but that's not all they have going for them. Based in Brooklyn, New York, Caroline Polacheck and bandmate Patrick Wimberly have produced an exceptionally good video for their exceptionally rad song called, "Amanaemonesia." Try saying that 10 times as fast as you can.

I don't want to explain too much and ruin the rewarding taste your eyes and ears will be receiving, so you better just check it out for yourselves below:

Silly Pabst Blue Ribbon Snowboarding Bindings

I mean, enough. ENOUGH. Does anyone really LIKE Pabst Blue Ribbon beer? Besides the fact that it's super cheap and it's best known for being featured in David Lynch's masterful film, "Blue Velvet," but does anyone run out to drink it? Oh, I stand corrected -- Those we call Hipsters do. So sorry.

You know what it means if the Hipsters of the world like something (think something's cool), brands market, market, market like crazy. Point in case, UNION BINDING CO. out of Seattle, Washington. I understand they're just trying to make some bucks but the more companies continue to feed into the annoying, kitschy world of Hipstermania (Is that a word already? If not I call dibs!) I believe our humanity gets destroyed. Well, maybe not totally demolish it, but taint it.

If you want to be a part of the craze (I won't judge you...okay maybe just a little bit) you can purchase these "hip" bindings as well as other cool ones like the DANNY KASS tie-dyed ones (now those are cool) on their website in their custom house section.

Ski Magazine's 2011-2012 Resort Rankings: Agree or Disagree

Park City - photo: Scott Markewitz

Ski Magazine has released their 2011-2012 U.S. Resort Rankings featuring 21 resorts. Well actually, the results are ranked by readers. Out of those 21 resorts, I have only skied at 2 of them - Mammoth Mountain and Park City Utah (sadness and despair creeps in my ski boots and mind). The sadness is not because more resorts I have skied aren't on the list, but since I haven't been able to show my mountain bitch on these slopes...yet.

There are really no surprises here except there are no Montana resorts included. Park City deserves to be in the Top 10 (it comes in at #6) however I feel Mammoth should be higher on the list than #17. I could be biased.

To see which ones made it, click here.

What do you think? Did the readers get it right?

Ski on a Caribbean Cruise

Put your skis or board on and do some runs while on a cruise ship in the Caribbean? Excuse me, what? Oh yeah, this is 100% true. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw the picture of the cruise ship (see above).

Brought to you by a company called Iglu Cruise, Caribbean Skiing starts December 15, 2011. The cruise is for 7 nights of Caribbean and mountain fun! Can you say skiing in your bikini? I know the lads were thinking it.

The itinerary has you flying out of the UK (so do I have to fly to UK from USA first?) to Barbados and then cruising to places like St. Lucia and St. Vincent. Talk about a party ship. I don't need to remind any of you about skiers and boarders with our après-ski. This is a 7 night après-ski party! I'll see everyone in the hot tub.

To check out all the details and pricing, visit the Iglu Cruise website.
